What do you know about the Internet?

Internet, according to the definition given by Wikipedia, is a << global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worlwide.
It has become an unavoidable means of communication in the world.Formerly, the internet was used by companies to connect to the computers in the company network,in order to keep communication with the workers as well as share data and information within the company.Lately,it expanded its range from companies to other companies, especially from a firm to its derivates. With time, the internet has become wider, giving everybody the opportunity to access a limited range of information such as online newspapers, people CVs,informations related to countries, governments, tourism etc....With the advent of the 21st century, things got far better and now we do not only get bare informations to read or documents to download,we are also presented with new innovations such as online bank transactions, online teaching or online education, social networks,e-services (e-mail services,e-books...
==> I will introduct e-services later on),search engines, personnal websites and blogs, scholars writings and even more interactive, yet fun and useful utilities like online gaming, softwares available for download online and many many more interesting features(Internet TVs for example).
Since then,Internet services have never stagnated but improve steadily and very fastly.Today,we see the birth of VOIP services(skype for example) amongst others, and even ...more:Augmented Reality(e.g.Videoconference).
"Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified (possibly even diminished rather than augmented) by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality. By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one.
Augmentation is conventionally in real-time and in semantic context with environmental elements, such as sports scores on TV during a match. With the help of advanced AR technology (e.g. adding computer vision and object recognition) the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally manipulable. Artificial information about the environment and its objects can be overlaid on the real world. The term augmented reality is believed to have been coined in 1990 by Thomas Caudell, working at Boeing.
Research explores the application of computer-generated imagery in live-video streams as a way to enhance the perception of the real world. AR technology includes head-mounted displays and virtual retinal displays for visualization purposes, and construction of controlled environments containing sensors and actuators."(Wikipedia)

All that is absolutely what the internet is all about.Maybe in the future Will Smith's "I Robot" will no more be considered as a mere fruit of fiction science but ...reality.Why not?
